Building Tomorrow's Game Architects
We started Medialex Academy because the mobile gaming industry needed something different. Not another bootcamp promising overnight success, but a place where serious developers could master the complex art of mobile game architecture.
Our Journey Since 2019
Back in 2019, we noticed something troubling. Brilliant programmers were struggling to transition into mobile game development because the architecture patterns were so different from traditional software.
Mobile games demand unique approaches to memory management, performance optimization, and user experience flows. We realized the industry needed educators who understood these challenges firsthand.
So we built something different. Our programs focus on real-world mobile game architecture challenges, taught by developers who've shipped games that millions of people actually play.
What Drives Our Teaching
Performance First
Mobile games live or die by their performance. We teach you to think like a systems architect from day one, considering memory constraints and battery life in every design decision.
Real Projects
Every lesson connects to actual game development scenarios. You'll work with the same constraints and challenges that professional game architects face in commercial projects.
Industry Focused
We stay current with mobile gaming trends and platform updates. Our curriculum evolves with the industry because technology that worked last year might be obsolete today.
Meet Your Instructors
Our teaching team brings decades of combined experience from successful mobile game studios across Australia and beyond.
Kieran Blackwood
Former technical director at three successful mobile game studios. Kieran specializes in scalable architecture patterns that have supported games with over 10 million downloads.
Astrid Holmberg
Astrid spent eight years optimizing mobile games for various Android and iOS devices. She teaches the critical performance patterns that keep games running smoothly across all hardware.
